To me the colour red is a bit like salt, add a pinch to anything and the whole party comes alive.I guess it’s no wonder every girl I know very proudly owns a red lipstick, a red nail polish, a red dress and or a red handbag. This colour will always and forever be a winner. Most times when I want to add a pop of colour to any outfit my first instinct is always to reach out for a red ‘thing’ whether it be a scarf or socks or even earrings. I think that popular saying should be ‘when in doubt wear red’- not black.
It’s spring now, weather’s all fair and dandy so I find myself reaching out for my skirts and dresses lately. I say this because the cold seasons naturally always makes me wear way too many pants and too little of anything else which for me is a bit of a shame because I have this amazing treasure land of skirts that I always forget to tap into cos I’m too busy focused on battling with Scottish sub-zero degrees and making my pants work over-time. Anyhooooo thank goodness the opportunity to explore the world of the lady-like is finally here cos I plan on taking my ladies on a spin every now and then this spring/summer (As any normal girly girl would. Wouldn’t say I’m one but I sure do try sometimes).
This red skirt is one of my favourites first because it’s the ‘classic’ red (of course!!!) and then the length and slit just adds even more sunshine to my day. You can also never go wrong with a Pencil skirt, very flattering and all that vibe. As I strut my stuff in this, I’m feeling super confident and vibrant and I guess it’s a good thing when what you wearing makes you feel that type of way otherwise whats the point really? Now forget about me, you go on and get into that sassy red skirt you got if you’ve been inspired! X
