I can’t seem to have enough Olive-y things these days can you? This colour simply rules whether it’s plain or in a subtle macho print such as camo, it just works no matter how you wear it. Today I’m all about pairing my camo Jacket with another versatile piece in the form of my Mango Snakeskin Booties. Together these 2 kick something* lol! I know it’s spring and I probably should be popping colours more than a candy bar shop can but hey, you don’t always wake up feeling that excited. Whenever you don’t feel like sunshine and rainbows these sort of subtle colours become your go-to.
I once stumbled into an article that reiterated that Camo should never be paired with animal print because they look similar and tend to make your outfit look too busy and I’m like what what what???? Do not listen to that cause I find it quite misleading. There are no rules when it comes to fashion as long as you focus on structure, texture, fitting and feeling the rest of it doesn’t matter, mix as you very well please.
One tip for wearing olive though is to limit yourself to one or 2 pieces at a time except you deliberately intend to look like you are going hunting or signing up for the army. This colour is undeniably masculine but depending on how well you style it I’d say it definitely looks better on women than it does on men. It gives you that tough-girl edge that stands you out wherever you go. If camo depicts a strong and independent active woman then we are on to a good thing and that’s what I’m all about. Nobody messes with the Fe-male…Salute! Love Ada.X
