I have to admit I find it difficult sticking to dress codes anywhere I go and most especially in the office because I always want to have fun with my looks. I find I want to be able to look any way I want depending on how I’m feeling when I get up in the morning, smart, funky, grunge, laid-back or even very messy (Yea, Some days are for messy looks). However in reality, working in a professional environment means strictly following the ‘smart’ look rule no matter how you feel when you wake up in the morning. So I decided to do a post on how smart I can get sometimes and I hope you get inspired.
Thankfully it’s spring so I’ve gone for very subtle tones for that springy freshness, very feminine, quite breezy but in the office kind of way if that makes any sense. The light weight trench coats are an essential this season for a sophisticated finish to any work outfit. I got the blush pants from Topshop a long while ago, and find they suit my curvy body shape so well. Remember you need to be comfortable in anything you wear. It’s not necessarily about going for the trend but for what seats well on you. That’s my number one rule for ‘always looking good’… you need to feel the part to look the part!
My bag I got from a vintage shop. I am currently obsessed with this bag, I just can’t put it down. It works with both formal and casual looks and what’s best is I got it for only £7… I’m in the clouds hahah! I’m telling you, don’t ever walk fast past the vintage or charity shops cause those places are loaded with rare goodness sometimes. I have finished my look with simple silver pumps and clear glasses, keeping things fun, smart and ready for business : )
Good thing it’s Monday, I hope I have you all ready and in the mood for another week of getting the job done in style… have a great week ahead! Love Ada. X.
