Pretty much Accessorised

With Summer comes colour and today I’m feeling Aqua green, all nice and bright! Coordinating your accessories to other items you are wearing is a fun way to finish up a look. It is like adding a full stop to a sentence. I have to mention at this point though that this once used to be considered a fashion crime, but it was only a matter of time before it made a come back. As we already might know, there are so many ways to coordinate your accessories, It could be your scarf matched with your bracelet or bag matched with your hat etc.. Today, I’ve chosen to match my neck-piece with my sandals and have used the plain white shirt as a neutral base for the colours to pop and make it’s statement. If you know me, you’d know I’m not one for big and bold accessories but if I have to, like today, I’d have to play down every other thing and keep the focus in one direction… if you know what I mean.

When you are choosing a fashion accessory for an outfit always consider the details of the other items  you are wearing because the one thing you don’t want to do is pile on too much and end up looking over done. For example if you are wearing patterns, its best to opt for simple and demure accessories. Accessories and jewellery that are too busy will make the outfit look tacky. Likewise if you have the simplest of outfits on give it an uplift by throwing on a statement piece that speaks volumes…. no harm in a little drama.

Please do not mistake matchy matchy for wearing one label from head to toe – God No!  Less is more these days they say remember. Keep it moderate, keep it Simple.

Happy New week and thank you for visiting my page!!! X
